The Daisy 2000 Animatic

I wrote the script for this!!! We took an old Hans Christian Anderson story called The Daisy and re-wrote it to a new story. Colin Matthews provided most of the ideas, and I got to direct a team of classmates who really fleshed out the characters and the environment. We each took a section of the script and made storyboards to tell the story, and then edited them together to music and voice recordings and sound effects from the NBCC Miramichi archives.

  1. Ah that's great! You're doing so much Ana! I can't wait to see what else you're up to! There's a lot of exclamation points, I know, but it's all so exciting. I hope you're doing well. :)

    1. I'm really enjoying everything we are doing. (: Believe it or not, making animatics like this is actually something you can pretty much do full time and make a living from I think? That's what I've been told anyway. Storyboard artists will put it all together like this so that the different scenes can be divided among the animators working on the scene, and everyone is on the same page about how it looks and sounds. really cool, lots of fun to take your ideas and make them clear to people!!
I'm doing really well although its a little weird to be back in school and starting a career at nearly age 30. I can't really complain though, its fun.
